MURDERED MANGAUNG TEEN TO BE LAID TO REST

Preparations for the funeral of a -15 -year old Jevano Liam Siegel who died after he was hit by a bullet during service delivery protest are underway  and he  will be laid to rest on Saturday May 28.

This was announced, after the Premier of Free State Sefora Ntombela visited the family to pay her condolences. During her visit Ntombela promised to assist with the burial cost.

The security guard, Abel Lefu Letsela ,57,  who is facing  culpable homicide after  allegedly killing the teenager, has been released on bail  of R1,000 on Wednesday  after bail was not opposed by  state. His charge has since been reduced from murder to culpable homicide.  He is expected to be back in court on June 9,2021.

Meanwhile about 70 people were  arrested  for public violence, looting of foreign shops as well burning of tyres have also appeared before court.
