Mlangeni to know her fate on November 28

HARRSIMITH-A -34-year old Thandeka Mlangeni who has been convicted for fraud and money laundering by Harrismith magistrate court on Thursday, 22 September 2022 , will be back on November 28 ,2022 for her sentencing.
According to evidence before court , a preliminary investigation conducted by Standard bank forensic discovered that Mlangeni issued a fraudulent bank card using another client’s details.


She then transferred R1 million to a bank account belonging to her boyfriend Hopewell Mpanduli Daguma,34.
“ A further R51 ,000 was also withdrawn from same victim’s account. The incident took place between January 2020 and February 2020,” court heard.


The matter was reported to hawks’ serious commercial crime investigation team based in Bethlehem . This resulted in the conviction of Mlangeni. Her boyfriend Daguma is already serving his 10years sentence which he received on April ,15,2021.
