BLOEMFONTEIN-Premier of Free State Sefora Ntombela has  dismissed rumours making rounds  with lists, in the social media ,about looming  cabinet reshuffle and Head of Departments ,HODs.

While admitting to have seen the list, circulating  on social media Ntombela through her spokesperson Sello Pietersen denies any  decision to reshuffle departments and describes that  as ‘fake’ news.

He however has confirmed that only HOD for Police, Roads and Transport has been moved to Sport, Arts Culture and creation to strengthen that department, but  refused to divulge into details regarding the matter as is still before court of laws.

Pietersen also  did not shy away to state the fact, that  Ntombela will be well within her legal rights to reshuffle MECs and HODs,  “but she has not yet come to that conclusion,” said Pietersen.

Pietersen highlights that in alignment with the vision set for the province as outlined in the State of the Province Address (SOPA), Ntombela will reshuffle the administration and political heads whenever she sees it fit, to ensure service delivery.

“The Premier has not raised a desire to reconfigure the MECs or to reshuffle them at this point, but of course anytime she sees fit after consultation with the relevant structures she could be able to reshuffle MECs in accordance with their strengths so that they could be able to deliver the mandate of the government,” he highlighted.
