The newly appointed coach of Small Tigers Football Club, Molemi ‘Rubber’ Khoetsa, describes himself as someone who is not afraid of a challenge.

Khoetsa says he is ready to hit the ground running and has set himself the target of reaching the last 32 of 2021/2122 Nedbank Cup.

“The plans and structure are there and we hope when this season ends, we’ll all celebrate. Given that current circumstances, commonly referred to as the new normal, it is key to manoeuvre our way through the Covid-19 pandemic.

Small Tigers football club’s new coach Molemo Rubber Khoetsa.

“I belief Covid-19 affects everyone and every team; it is all about coming up with the numbers that will carry you through the season. Most importantly, this league is for under 23 players, so it is important how they respond and cope with the gruelling task ahead. I think we are a step ahead in that regard.”

Khoetsa is humbled by the overwhelming support he has received from both the technical department and management of Small Tigers since his arrival; that, he says, is the motivation and encouragement he needs to excel in his posting.

He is confident that, even though he was not with the team when it gained promotion, he experience will come in handy in their quest for success.
