CLARENS – Ntsu Secondary School delivered a dominant performance to be crowned double champions at the 2026 Mayoral High School Tournament after winning both the football and netball finals in Clarens.

Ahead of the championship matches, Executive Mayor Cllr Tseki Tseki presented new football and netball kits to the finalist schools, encouraging learners to compete with pride and confidence.

In the football final, Ntsu Secondary School battled to a 1-1 draw against Ipokelleng Secondary School before holding their nerve to secure a 3-0 victory in the penalty shoot-out and claim the title.

The school’s success continued on the netball court, where Ntsu defeated Ipokelleng Secondary School 24-16 to complete an impressive double triumph.

The Office of the Executive Mayor congratulated Ntsu Secondary School on its outstanding achievement and thanked all participating schools, coaches, educators, match officials and supporters for contributing to the success of the tournament.

Special appreciation was also extended to the Kgubetswana community for its support and hospitality throughout the event.

The tournament showcased the talent, determination and sportsmanship of young athletes from across the region, with organisers hailing the 2026 edition as a memorable celebration of school sport.
