THABO MOFUTSANYANA MEN’S PARLIAMENT TO COMMENCE ON APRIL 30

QWAQWA- Thabo Mofutsayana district men’s parliament is expected to commence on April 30, where  men and boys will engage on various issues affecting men under the theme ‘Bua Ntate’ which encourages men to speak out.

This was disclosed by Thabo Mofutsanyana men’s forum Mohlomo Lerato during an interview with The Guard news on Monday.

Lerato said the event will serve as a platform to build partnership with all forums of men in the district with the aim of building a social cohesion , discuss gender-based violence (GBV) which currently is a burning issues that haunts the entire country as well as crime, substance abuse and men’s health.

“The movement seeks to address the role of men in combating the spread of HIV and Gender-Based Violence (GBV), amongst others”, Lerato explained.

According to Lerato all discussions will be elevated further to the men’s forum at the provincial Parliament for their input in November this year.

He said  there are two men’s  district parliament with the other one scheduled for October.

The Men’s Parliament is aimed at developing and coordinating the Men Championing Change Programme in order to reach the targeted population of men’s and boys’ formations across the country.
