Deputy President David Mabuza is expected to come back to Maluti-a-Phofung local municipality on a follow up oversight visit this Friday .

When Mabuza was in Maluti-a-Phofung on March 30,2021, he promised to  come back to follow up on the progress made on interventions instituted to address service delivery particularly the reliable provision of water and electricity.

According to the media statement the successive oversight visits by Mabuza to Maluti-a-phofung are keeping up with  the commitment he made in the National Council Of Provinces (NCOP ) and National Assembly, to ensure that challenges experienced in the municipality with regards to the provision of basic services is addressed.

During his visit he will also take stock of improvements registered in the governance of the municipality, to ensure a sustainable path to efficiently and consistently deliver services to the people.

The municipality is currently on among top 20 municipalities defaulting on the Eskom payments.
