KESTELL – Seven-year old Tshepang Mosikidi, who was reported missing by police on September 18, has been found dead after her lifeless body was discovered by police on Monday this week near a corn field.

“Her corpse will be taken to a government morgue for a postmodern to be conducted to determine the cause of her death,” Free State police spokesperson Brigadier Motantsi Makhele said.

According to Makhele, Tshepang of Phamong Section in Tlholong township near Kestell, was last seen accompanying her friend of same age going to a local shop.

Little Tshepang Mosikidi found dead after missing for two days.

“The friend alleged that they met a strange man who gave them R5 and lured the deceased to go with him. She never returned home and the man could not be traced. Police, in cooperation with the community, searched everywhere for him including in a local cemetery and neighboring farms, but without any luck,” added Makhele.

Meanwhile, a suspect pertaining to the matter was traced to Ha Nchabeng village in QwaQwa where he was arrested on Monday.

“A 24-year old man  has been charged with murder and kidnapping of the seven -year old  Tshepang Mosikidi.”

A charges of rape could  be added should the post mortem results reveals that a toddler was also raped.
