Manapo children receive gifts

QWAQWA – Lephati Nondaba who is the matron in the paediatric ward at Mofumahadi Monapo Mopeli Regional Hospital expressed great joy and gratitude when Morena e Moholo Moremoholo Mopeli and his team came bearing gifts for the sick children at the hospital.


On International Mandela day which is celebrated on 18 July, Mopeli and his team visited the children of Mufumahadi Manapo Hospital and donated some toys so that the children’s stay at the hospital while they recover from their various illnesses is made a lot better. Thanking Mopeli and his team for this kind gesture Nondaba said the following,

“When the paediatric ward is baby friendly it makes the children’s experience here at the hospital a whole lot better. We are thankful for these toys, and I can see that there are toys for different age groups, and we will give them to the children in the appropriate age groups.”


For her part acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mahlaudi Motsoeneng Radebe said that this is a very special day because the royal household has decided to celebrate Mandela day with the hopital and donate some toys for the children in the paediatric ward.

“As the chairperson of the hospital board has already said, this is a very important day because our royal household has come to spend Mandela day with us and I would like to say thank you and it is truly a great honour to have Morena e Moholo Moremoholo Mopeli spend Mandela day with us today,” Radebe said.

Handing over gifts to sick children at Mofumahadi Monapo Mopeli hospital as part of celebration of Mandela day Morena Moremoholo Mopeli in the company of chairperson of the Board Paratlane Motloung.


When addressing the crowd Mopeli said the following, “We are here today bringing toys that will be used by the children. We as the royal household saw it fit to do so on behalf of Kgosatsana Manapo foundation because this hospital is named after her. I can see that the sponsors have contributed this lot but it can never be enough so I believe that we can do more.

By having these toys, the children here can be able to play and become better and cheer up quickly when they are fighting to get well. I commend the staff for doing a great job and hope that you continue in patience and love because we do see your efforts.”


Amongst the honoured guests Chairperson of the hospital board Paratlane Motloung was also present at this Mandela day celebration.
