DEPARTMENT: OFFICE OF THE MUNICIPAL MANAGER.

POSITION: PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO MUNICIPAL MANAGER

REMUNERATION: POST LEVEL 5(FIVE) OF GRADE 6 MUNICIPALITY.

Salary: R518713,80 per annum

Location: Maluti-A-Phofung Local Municipality

Job Type: Contract

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and experienced Personal Assistant to provide administrative support to the Municipal Manager. The successful candidate will manage the Municipal Manager’s schedule, correspondence, and tasks, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the Municipal Manager’s calendar, scheduling meetings and appointments

• Coordinate travel arrangements, accommodations, and transportation

• Prepare and disseminate reports, documents, and presentations

• Handle correspondence, emails, and phone callsProvide administrative support for meetings, workshops, and events

• Maintain confidential records and files

• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders

• Develop and implement administrative systems and procedures

• Perform other administrative tasks as required

Requirements

• National Diploma in Office Administration or related field

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an administrative role

• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadline

• High level of discretion and confidentiality

ADDED ADVANTAGE:

• Registration with a professional body

• Valid driver’s licence (Code 08 (EB)

• NO criminal record

• Computer literacy. A Certificate in Municipal Financial Management Programme (MFMP) as prescribed by National Treasury, Government Gazette no 29967 date 15 June 2007 will be an added advantage.
