DEPARTMENT: OFFICE OF THE MUNICIPAL MANAGER

DEPARTMENT: MUNICIPAL MANAGERPOSITION: IDP AND PMS MANAGER REMUNERATION: POST LEVEL 1(ONE) OF GRADE 6 MUNICIPALITY

Salary: 745538.67 per annum

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced IDP and PMS Manager to lead the development and implementation of our Integrated Development Plan and Performance Management System. The successful candidate will coordinate stakeholder engagement, data analysis, and performance monitoring to ensure effective achievement of organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and Implement IDP*: Lead the development of the Integrated Development Plan, aligning with organizational strategic objectives.

• Manage PMS, oversee the Performance Management System, including setting performance targets, monitoring progress, and evaluating results.

• Stakeholder Engagement, facilitate stakeholder engagement and collaboration to ensure IDP and PMS alignment.

• Analyze data to inform IDP and PMS development, implementation, and evaluation.

• Monitor and report on performance against IDP and PMS targets.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Public Administration, Development Studies, or related field).

• 5+ Years’ Experience in IDP and PMS management, development planning, or related field.

• Strong Analytical Skills, ability to analyze data and develop insights.

• Communication Skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Collaboration, ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

ADDED ADVANTAGE:

• Registration with a professional body

• Valid driver’s licence (Code 08 (EB))

• NO criminal record

• Computer literacy. A Certificate in Municipal Financial Management Programme (MFMP) as prescribed by National Treasury, Government Gazette no 29967 date 15 June 2007 will be an added advantage.
