Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Financial Accounting Manager to lead our financial accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial accounting function, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and providing strategic financial guidance to management
Key responsibilities
• Manage the financial accounting team
• Oversee financial statement preparing (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement)
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS) and regulatory requirements
• Develop and implement financial accounting policies and procedures
• Manage the annual audit process
• Provide strategic financial guidance to management
• Analyse financial data and provide insight for business decision making
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (CA(SA) or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial accounting management
• Proven track record of managing financial accounting teams
• Excellent knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting requirements
• Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

• Registration with a professional body
• Valid driver’s licence (Code 08 (EB))
• NO criminal record
• Computer literacy. A Certificate in Municipal Financial Management Programme (MFMP) as prescribed by National Treasury, Government Gazette no 29967 date 15 June 2007 will be an added advantage.
