QWAQWA – Bethlehem born Teboho Mokoena brought Bafana Bafana to life when he scored crucial penalty at 83rd minute, equalizing after Czechia Republic had led by Michael Sadilik.
The game was not easy for Bafana Bafana because they were facing eminent elimination from the world show peace which is currently taking place in three different countries namely Canada, United States of America and Mexico who themselves beat Bafana on the opening day of the tournament.
In the first half Bafana Bafana were not playing to their usual flare, unfortunately that resulted in Czechia taking the lead. They managed to hold on to their lead throughout the second half.
In the Second-half Bafana came gun blazing which saw the introduction of Sebelebele and the beloved Mofokeng among others, they managed to push Czech back which eventually led to the Europeans making a couple of mistakes at the back.
The most visible one was when Bafana came pushing through the foot of Maseko on the right hand side. The left footed South African forward cut inside and tried to unleash a powerful shot which then hit the arm of Czechia Defender Sulc prompting the referee to point it to the penalty spot, 29 year central middle Felder stepped up and colly slotted it at the bottom left corner.
This alone gave 60+ million South Africans a clime of hope.
Chances did come through but unfortunately for both nations neither managed to take the win, this scenario leaves both of them in a very difficult possession because they will have to win their final match to stand any chance of going into the knockout stages.
Czechia will face Mexico while Bafana take on South Korea on their final group game. As it stands South Africa occupy last position while Czechia sit third in the group standing, and this is partly due to Bafana having a goal difference of -2 while Czechia has -1.
