Police Sergeant in custody for learner kidnapping

QWAQWA- Police sergeant has been arrested over kidnapping of Grade 11 learner Kamogelo Baukudi who went missing since Thursday June 5,2025.

Police spokesperson Brigadier Motantsi Makhele confirmed this.

“There were some interrogations which took place and today it was confirmed that he will be kept in custody on charge of kidnapping.There was a part that linked him to the vehicle that is suspected to have been used to commit the crime.”

Makhele has confirmed that the vehicle suspected to have been used to kidnap Baukudi belongs to the police provincial unit dealing with anti gang in schools which the suspect was the only person driving on that day of the event.
