QWA QWA – The Qwa Qwa Development League (QDL) produced an entertaining weekend of football, with nine goals scored across three matches as teams battled for early supremacy in the league standings.

The biggest movers were Remember Matoota FC, who climbed from the bottom of the table into the top three after securing a thrilling 4-3 victory over Passion FC at Seanakwena Sports Ground on Saturday.

The seven-goal encounter was the standout fixture of the weekend, with Remember Matoota FC showing resilience and attacking flair to claim their first win of the campaign.

The victory was a significant turnaround for the side, which had opened its season with a disappointing 2-1 defeat to log leaders Tseki Junior Stars FC.

Meanwhile, league frontrunners Tseki Junior Stars FC and Samba Boys FC cancelled each other out in a tightly contested match that ended in a goalless draw.

Although neither side found the back of the net, the result allowed Tseki Junior Stars to maintain their position at the summit of the standings.

In another closely fought encounter, Tseki Galaxy FC and Lere La Tshepe FC shared the spoils after playing to a 1-1 draw.

After two rounds of fixtures, the race for top honours is already taking shape, with just three points separating first and fourth place.

Current QDL Standings

Tseki Junior Stars FC – 4 points

Tseki Galaxy FC – 4 points

Remember Matoota FC – 3 points

Passion FC – 3 points

Samba Boys FC – 1 point

Lere La Tshepe FC – 1 point

With the league still in its early stages, teams will be eager to build momentum as the battle for QDL glory intensifies in the coming weeks.
