QWAQWA-Two murder suspects Mohanuwa Mbele (31) and Thomas Motsoeneng (47) have been remanded in custody until 23 to 26 January when their case resumes, for allegedly murdering Felleng Mofokeng (32) whose body was recovered by police dumped in the veld in Virginia.

It is alleged that Mbele had paid Motsoeneng and two other suspects from Virginia in Welkom who are still at large, to murder the victim after DNA tests revealed Mbeles husband Vusi was the father of the deceased baby. Mbele’s husband is alleged to have committed suicide after the DNA results were revealed.

Mofokeng is survived by two sons, the younger of whom is turning three this year.
The deceased’s elder sister Mamphakiseng Mofokeng said family is not coping and are trying to be strong for the sake of the minor children that were left by deceased.

“Death is painful but it worse when it is this brutal murder where a body is it even deposed to ensure that we do not get it . I feel sorry my sister children who will grow up with a mother.”

She said the death of her sister has affected her elder son performance at school.

“Her elder son is not coping. He was not happy that he could not view the body of his mother , he wanted to see her for the last time . But due to the condition of the deceased he could not.”
