BOHLOKONG – Police have launched an inquest after the decomposed body of an unidentified man was discovered on a farm along the R26 Road outside Bethlehem on Thursday, 16 July.
According to Free State police, a farm worker at Tweelingskop Farm made the discovery and immediately alerted his employer. The pair inspected the scene and found the body of an African male in an advanced state of decomposition.
The deceased was wearing a lime-coloured T-shirt, grey trousers and pink soccer boots.Bohlokong police have opened an inquest docket, while a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
Police have appealed to members of the public to assist in identifying the deceased. Anyone with a missing family member, relative or friend matching the description, or anyone with information that could assist the investigation, is urged to contact Bohlokong Detective Service Warrant Officer Hescock on 082 453 0794 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
