Position: 5x Internship

Stipend: R120 000 per annum

Duration: 2 years

Dihlabeng local Municipality invites suitable graduates to apply for Financial Management Internship to acquire practical experience in Local Government Financial Management.

Municipal Financial Management Internship Programme (MFMIP) is a National Treasury Initiativeaimed at strengthening financial management capacity within Local Government. Interns will receive structured professional training, practical experience and participate in a mentorship driven programme across all functions of the budget and treasury office in terms of the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA), Act 56 of 2003.

Minimum Requirements:

• Completed Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in

– Accounting

– Internal Auditing

– Risk Management

• Have good written and verbal communication skills

• Computer literacy (MS Office)

Key Performance Areas:

• Completely learning outcomes in line with National Treasury’s financial intern skills development program.

• Learn about Municipal Legislation and financial regulations.

• Gain practical experience in

– Income

– Expenditure

– Budget office

– Supply chain

• Other finance department functions

• Perform general administrative tasks
