Busamed Harrismith Private Hospital is pleased to announce the addition of three accomplished specialists who will help advance the hospital’s mission of providing highquality, patient-focused care to Harrismith, the Eastern Free State, and neighboring areas.
The hospital welcomes Dr Ntswe Geelbooi Mofokeng, Orthopaedic Surgeon; Dr Sandile Ndlovu, Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist; and Dr Noxolo Hlobisile Qwabe, Specialist Psychiatrist.
These appointments mark an important milestone in the hospital’s continued efforts to expand access to specialist healthcare services and ensure patients receive comprehensive care closer to home.
Advanced Orthopaedic Care
Dr Ntswe Geelbooi Mofokeng joins Busamed Harrismith Private Hospital as a highly experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 20 years of medical experience. His areas of expertise include trauma surgery, fracture management, foot and ankle surgery, limb reconstruction, and deformity correction.
A graduate of Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University, Dr Mofokeng further completed his Master of Medicine (MMed) in Orthopaedic Surgery through the University of the Witwatersrand and obtained the prestigious Fellowship of the College of Orthopaedic Surgeons of South Africa (FC Orth(SA).
Dr Mofokeng has served at renowned institutions including Manapo Regional Hospital, Bongani Regional Hospital, and Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital. He recently completed an advanced Foot and Ankle Fellowship, strengthening his expertise in managing complex orthopaedic conditions and sports-related injuries.

Enhancing Women’s Healthcare Services
Joining the hospital’s Women’s Health Unit is Dr Sandile Ndlovu, a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with more than a decade of experience and a passion for advancing women’s health.
Dr Ndlovu obtained his MBChB from the University of KwaZulu-Natal before completing specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He holds both the Fellowship of the College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of South Africa (FCOG SA) and a Master of Medicine (MMed) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
His special interests include:
• Low-risk and high-risk pregnancies
• General gynaecological conditions
• Reproductive health
• Endoscopic and laparoscopic surgery
• Gynecologist oncology
• Women’s wellness and preventative care
Currently serving as a Specialist at Dr George Mukhari Academic Hospital and pursuing further training in Gynaecological Oncology at Steve Biko Academic Hospital, Dr Ndlovu brings extensive expertise that will benefit women throughout the region.

Expanding Mental Health Services
Busamed Harrismith Private Hospital also welcomes Specialist Psychiatrist Dr Noxolo Hlobisile Qwabe.
Dr Qwabe completed her MBChB and subsequently her Master of Medicine (MMed) in Psychiatry through the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She recently obtained the Fellowship of the College of Psychiatrists of South Africa (FC Psych SA), further demonstrating her commitment to specialist mental healthcare.
Her professional background includes service at Madadeni Regional Hospital, King Dinuzulu Hospital Complex, Elizabeth Ross District Hospital, Manguzi Hospital, and specialist psychiatric training across Durban, Pietermaritzburg, and Ngwelezane.

Dr Qwabe provides assessment and treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions, including:
