BETHLEHEM – The Executive Mayor of Dihlabeng, Tseki Tseki, addressed Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) participants from across the municipality at Bethlehem Town Hall this week, highlighting the importance of professionalism and dedication in their work.

“The cornerstone of a productive, positive, and stable work environment is respecting your work and consistently meeting your employer’s expectations,” Tseki Tseki said.

“This demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and commitment, which can lead to career advancement, job security, and higher job satisfaction.”

The programme, which promotes job creation, skills development, and community service, provides residents with work experience and contributes to community development.

Tseki Tseki also expressed gratitude to the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment for supporting cleanliness initiatives that help keep the municipality clean.

Director of Community Services, Thokozile Vanqa, reminded participants that “there is no room for bad behavior that will tint the image of the municipality.”

Representatives from the municipal Human Resources department and the Department of Employment and Labour were also present, providing guidance on contracts, interview procedures, and registration on the departmental database.

The session emphasized the value of professionalism and community engagement as key drivers of both personal growth and municipal development.
