NOTICE No. 14/2023

APPROVAL OF 2023 – 2024 SDBIP, 2023 – 2024 PERFORMANCE AGREEMENTS AND ADOTPION OF 2024 – 2025 IDP & BUDGET PROCESS PLAN

Notice is hereby given, in terms of Section 21 (1) (a), (b) and (c) of the Local Governmet: Munucipal Systems Act, 32 of 2000, read with Section 22 (a) (i) and (ii) of the Local Governmet: Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA), 56 of 2003 that the Executive Mayor of the Maluti-A-Phofung Local Municipality has, in terms of MFMA Section 53(1)(c) (ii) and (iii) (aa), (bb) and (cc), on 20 July 2023 approved the 2023/2024 Service Delivery Budget and Implementation Plan (SDBIP) and on 29 August 2023 tabled on its Special Council Meeting the approved 2023/2024 (SDBIP) and the 2023/2024 performance agreements of the Acting Municipal Manager and all senior managers reporting directly to the municipal manager for noting.


The Executive Mayor has also, in terms of Section 30 (a), (b) and (c) of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, 32 of 2000, in accordance with section 29 of the Municipal Systems Act, 32 of 2000, submitted the 2024 – 2025 IDP and Budget Process Plan to the Municipal Council for adoption by the Municipal Council.


The municipality has in terms of Section 16 (1) (a) of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, 32 of 2000 established the IDP and Budget Representation Forum as a platform that encourages the local community to participate in the affairs of the municipality.


Community members and all interested parties are therefore encourarged and invited to register with the municipality in order for them to be able to participate in the affairs of the municipality.


Copies of the 2023 – 2024 SDBIP, 2023 – 2024 performance agreements of the Acting Municipal Manager and all senior managers reporting directly to the municipal manager and the 2024 – 2025 IDP and Budget Process Plan are available for inspection at all Municipal Offices and Libraries in Phuthaditjhaba, Kestell and Harrismith. The electronic copies of these documents can also be requested from the Manager: IDP and PMS at email: sfaku46@gmail.com.
