REQUEST FOR LAND DEVELOPMENT PROPOSALS: SELLING OF LAND
Maluti A Phofung, in its effort to stimulate a sustainable economic growth, job creation and empower previously disadvantaged individuals, hereby invites land development proposals for the alienation and development of the portions of land/erven.
It would be appreciated if community members or interested groups could submit proposals to develop these areas to sustain development and local economic developments in terms of the National Development Plan.
The following must be included in the proposal:
• Offer for land in Rand (R) value.
• Value of total development in Rand (R).
• Proposals with development information anchor tenant and three dimensional sketches of the proposed development.
• Bidders must submit copies of all financial guarantees and commitments.
• List of individuals involved or list of directors/members of company or close corporation with identity numbers.
It must be noted that the successful developer/individual will be liable for the cost pertaining to rezoning, provision of municipal services and all other costs to meet Town Planning requirements.

Proposals endorsed “Land Development Proposal” must be deposited in the tender box at Maluti A Phofung Municipality Head Office, C/O Moremoholo and Motloung Streets, Phuthaditjhaba. Closing date for all proposals will be 31 July 2026 at 12h00 EXCEPT the three MEGA – PROJECTS i.e. Westerson Ext 2, Harrsimith Ext 32 and Lotusville Ext 2 Township Establishment Developments which closes on 30 September 2026 at 12h00.
A briefing Session will be held on the 10 July 2026 at the old Council Chamber at 10h00.
The highest or any proposal will not necessarily be accepted and Council reserves the right to accept a proposal as a whole or in part.
