The Kaizer Chiefs striker, Ranga Chivaviro, said they are extra motivated heading to Bloemfontein this weekend for the opening round of the Premier Soccer League. The mighty Amakhosi will hit the road to face Marumo Gallants, who have bought the PSL status of Moroka Swallows and relocated to Bloemfontein.

There are talks that the match will be a sell-out and this is exactly what Gallants wants to begin the new era in football in the Free State.
Chivaviro, who joined the Glamour Boys from Gallants said it’s going to be a special occasion, but it won’t exactly be an emotional return to the field where he sank Chippa United a few seasons ago.

“I don’t think it’s going to be an emotional game I believe I’m a professional,” said Chivaviro. “Yes, it’s my form team and like you said, I scored 17 goals for Marumo, but I was at work, and so is the case right now. I’ll be at work.

Former Marumo Gallants striker at Press conference at Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein, Ranga Chivaviro.

“The Kaizer Chiefs fans are the biggest stakeholders of this club, and the more the merrier. The more they come in support us, the more they give us the morale and the boost you know to do well.”

Saturday’s match at the Toyota Stadium kicks off at 17:30.
