By Teboho Moloi

BLOEMFONTEIN-The Free State police have confirmed that the missing police officer Vuyiswa Martha Nduna (47), from Bainsvlei police station, who was reported missing has returned safe back home unharmed ten days later since her mysterious disappearance.

Nduna arrived back at her residential place on Sunday 10 August 2025 in the morning.

Though the police have not elaborated on her whereabouts it stated that she is receiving necessary intervention from the Employee Health and Wellness professionals.

She was reported last seen by her son at their residential place in Abrahamskraal Friday 1 August.According to police spokesperson Lt Col Thabo Covane Vuyiswa had a planned trip to her home in Mthatha, Eastern Cape province, and purchased a bus ticket at a shopping complex in Langehovernpark.

Covane said on the day she was last seen, Vuyiswa asked her son to call a taxi for her to go to the bus terminus at Tourism Centre.

“But there isn’t any record of her boarding the bus to Eastern Cape, “said Covane.

The last time a police member was reported missing in the province was earlier this year, when three young constables Linda Cebekhulu (24), Keamogetswe Buys (30), and Boipelo Senoge (20) mysteriously disappeared and their life less bodies were recovered.

“South African Police Service management appreciates all the parties who played a role in searching for Vuyiswa from the moment she was reported missing,” he said.
