Missing minor found dead

BETHLEHEM – Two suspects from Bohlokong, aged 18 and 20 years old, have been nabbed by police in connection with the alleged murder of Hlohonofatso Mokoena 10, who had earlier been reported missing.

According to police spokesperson in the Thabo Mofutsanyana district Warrant Officer Mmako Mophiring the lifeless body of Hlohonolofatso was discovered near Bakenpark graveyard with multiple stab wounds on the body.

“A case of murder is being investigated. The motive behind the murder is not yet known.”

Mophiring said the minor, also from Bohlokong was reported missing after he was last seen on Thursday, 9 January 2025 at about 09:00, playing in the street with other children. He was wearing a grey t-shirt, a blue pair of jeans and brown Soviet sandals.

The case against the two suspects has been postponed to January 20 ,2025 for formal bail application.
