BETHLEHEM- The two female suspects, a South African and a foreigner are expected to appear before Bethlehem magistrate court on Friday for dealing with drugs and dagga.
The pair was arrested by members of Public Order Task Team who followed a tip off from community member.
According to police spokesperson Brigadier Montantsi Makhele on May 20, Bethlehem public order task team were on their duty of preventing crime when they received a tip off at around 13;30 about two women, both 22 , suspected to be in drugs and dagga dealing at a certain shop in Bethlehem.
“After receiving information about two women suspected to be dealing in drugs and dagga, members of public order task team swiftly followed up the said information. On their arrival at the place, they started searching with assistance of Bethlehem K9.
They found small transparent plastic bags containing crystal meth, 20 full tablets of mandrax, six half tablets of madrax nine quarter tablets of mandrax, 53 small bags and medium transparent plastic bags containing daggas and cash. The sized drugs and dagga are estimated street value of R7000,” said Makhele.
