Dukwana officially opens R30 road

QWAQWA – Residents of Allanridge expressed appreciation and relief after Free State Premier Mxolisi Dukwana and Community safety, roads, and transport MEC Maqueen Letsoha-Thamae finally opened the R30 road on December 6,2023.
Some of the residents Teboho Mokonyane and Kgauhelo Thazi, both from Nyakallong township, said they were happy that the project was finally completed.

The road was initially closed in 2021 due to flooding which saw it causing many accidents. The construction created 82 job opportunities for locals, including women and persons living with disabilities.

“Our long suffering ended when our brothers and sisters finally got jobs during the construction of the road. We are also happy that the road has finally opened because there were lot of accidents. We are happy with the work done, “said Thazi.

Dignitaries who witnessed the handling over of the project included MEC of Corporative governance, traditional affair and human settlements Toto Makume and Matjhabeng local municipality Mayor, Thanduxolo Klhalipha.
