QWAQWA – Pastor Lefa Pheto has sent a message of hope and encouragement to jubilant parents and youth, at a two-day revival prayer session held at the Bluegumbosch multipurpose hall on November 5.

The purpose of the two-day prayer session, which was also attended by Maluti-a-Phofung (MAP) executive mayor Masechaba Mosia-Lakaje, was to pray for both the matriculants of 2023 who are writing their final exams and moral regeneration in the MAP community.
Addressing the crowd, Pastor Pheto encouraged the youth to honour and respect their parents and urged women to support each other and be the pillars of society.

“It is very important for women to support each other; women of this community must support their mayor because she is a woman. Women raise children, so it is very important for them to support and not sabotage each other.

“The youth writing their exams need to focus and know that the prayers that come from their mothers are powerful, so it is very important for them to love and respect their mothers no matter how they are,” Pheto said.

One of the parents, Mamothobi Tsepane described Pastor Pheto’s message as ’very encouraging’.

“I will go home feeling very touched and inspired and as a parent of a matric learner who is writing their final exams, I have faith that my child will do well.”

Moruti Lefa Pheto joins executive mayor of Maluti-a-Phofung Masetjhaba Lakaje-Mosia in prayer.

In her address to the audience, Mosea-Lakaje endorsed the message delivered by Pastor Pheto.

“The matriculants of MAP have supportive parents as evidenced by the fact that you came out in your numbers. We couldn’t pray for the matriculants without involving parents. The youth need to always honour and respect their parents,” Mosea-Lakaje said.
