Maluti TVET signs MOU with China’s Jiangsu college

CLARENS –Maluti TVET college students will soon be travelling to China on exchange programme , this after Maluti TVET college and Jiangsu Agric-animal husbandry vocational college signed a memorandum of understanding at Golden Gate hotel on July 1 , 2023.


According to Maluti TVET college spokesperson Makhala Labase the purpose of the agreement was to strengthen the integration of Vocational and Technical Education through: production of integrated learning, Innovative training model for Vocational and technical personnel, pioneering the fundamental and extensive role of vocational and technical education and training in promoting students and lectures exchange, fostering economic development and industrial upgrading of both colleges, and consolidating the social and public support for improved BRICS cooperation, China, South Africa, Free State and Jiangsu Provinces relations.


“The partnership will provide an exchange and cooperation for JAC and Maluti TVET College in agricultural field of vocational and technical education and personnel training based on the principle of mutual respect, equality, win-win corporation talking the partnership as a cooperation platform for mutual benefit.”


Labase said Maluti TVET College and Jiangsu Agric animal husbandry vocational college will be guide by the following principals: Working mechanism, Information Sharing, Internship and Practical Training which includes Mutual Recognition of Qualification and Credit, Staff Development, Exchange of Delegation Visits, Cooperation in Scientific Research and County and Regional Studies.


The Chinese also visited Maluti TVET College Agri-Village to observe the environment, livestock and the feeding cycle of the animals, they departed to Dinkoeng Tented Camp & Adventure for Cultural occasion where they had African food, music, attire and Dance. Maluti TVET College is looking forward to work with Jiangsu-Agric Animal husbandry vocation college.
