DEPARTMENT: OFFICE OF THE MUNICIPAL MANAGER.

Remuneration package: Negotiable

Location: Maluti-A-Phofung Local Municipality

Job Type: Contract

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Manager to provide strategic support to the Municipal Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the office, coordinating Municipal wide initiatives, and ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic support to the Municipal Manager.

• Manage the office of the Municipal Manager

• Coordinate municipal-wide initiatives and projects.

• Develop and implement communication and stakeholder engagement strategies.

• Provide guidance and support to other departments.

• Manage and coordinate municipal events and functions

• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders

• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or related field

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in senior management role

• Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal and problem solving skills

• Proven track records of strategic management and leadership

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills

ADDED ADVANTAGE:

• Registration with a professional body

• Valid driver’s licence (Code 08 (EB))

• NO criminal record

• Computer literacy. A Certificate in Municipal Financial Management Programme/ Programme(MFMP) as prescribed by National Treasury, Government Gazette no 29967 date 15 June 2007 will be an added advantage.
