DEPARTMENT: FINANCE DEPARTMENT

POSITION : FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATOR

REMUNERATION: POST LEVEL 4 (FOUR) OF GRADE 6 MUNICIPALITY

Salary: 531745,99 per annum

Job Title: Financial Administrator

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric with a Diploma / Degree in Accounting or relevant Finance qualification

• At least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role would be advantageous

• Excellent computer literacy (MS Office – Outlook, Word & Excel)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Must have great attention to detail

• Must have a valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Must be able to work under pressure.

• Must be committed to meeting the deadlines and ensure compliance with the MFMA.

• Must have a basic understanding of mSCOA.

• Be able to perform any other duties delegated to him or her.

• Be able to work beyond working hours, during weekends and holidays.

CORE-FUNCTIONS:

• Coordinate and monitor the Internal and External Audit processes

• Responsible for External Auditors logistics

• Coordinate and organize Audit Steering Committee

• Coordinate and organise the external audit findings reconciliation meetings

• Consolidation of reports from different finance units

• Assist in general administration duties for all units within the finance department.

• Liaising closely with the CFO, Internal and External Audit

• Assisting with requirements and diary management for the CFO

• Assist in managing the filing systems

• Assist in drafting of correspondence and documentation requirements.

• Any other duties that may be assigned

ADDED ADVANTAGE:

• Registration with a professional body

• Valid driver’s licence (Code 08 (EB))

• NO criminal record

• Computer literacy. A Certificate in Municipal Financial Management Programme (MFMP) as prescribed by National Treasury, Government Gazette no 29967 date 15 June 2007 will be an added advantage.
