ALLEGED YOUNGER BROTHER MURDERER IN CUSTODY

QWAQWA A 30- year old man who is charged for the murder of his younger brother has appeared before Petrusburg magistrate on Thursday, and the case was postponed to May 13, 2021.

Jan Lecholo remains in custody until May 13 when he will be returning to court.

According to police statement, on the 04 May 2021 at about 22:00 the police were summoned to a house at Bolokanang Location, Petrusburg where upon arrival, a lifeless body of 25 year-old Abraham Lecholo was found with multiple stab wounds lying in a pool of blood inside the house.

During police investigation, a bloody knife was found on the scene and confiscated as an exhibit.

According to the eye witness, the two brothers, Jan and Abraham Lecholo had a quarrel just before a physical fight ensued.

The suspect then drew a knife and allegedly stabbed the victim multiple times in the body. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Both the deceased and the suspect are brothers and are residing in the same house.

The suspect was arrested at his mother’s house nearby where he fled after committing the crime.
