No arrests yet in gruesome Tseseng murder

QWAQWA — Police have yet to make any arrests following the gruesome discovery of the decomposed body of an unknown man in a forested area of Moeding village, Tseseng, on Sunday, 14 December.

According to police, the body was discovered on Sunday afternoon by a hunter who was in the Moeding forestry area with his dogs when he stumbled upon the remains.

Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Mmako Mophiring said the body was found in an advanced state of decomposition and had been beheaded.

“The hunter immediately alerted the police. Upon arrival, officers found the deceased wearing black trousers and a shirt,” Mophiring said.

Police suspect the body was dumped in the forest.A case of murder has been opened and investigations are ongoing.

Police have appealed to members of the public who may have information that could assist in identifying the deceased or tracing his next of kin to contact Tseseng Detective Captain Khali Radebe on 082 419 7084, or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
