Tsotetsi emphasizes importance of collaborations and partnerships

QWAQWA- Maluti TVET college’s acting principal Motlalepula Tsotetsi has highlighted some of the achievement his college has attained through collaborations and business partnerships through both funding and students’ placement for practical.

Tsotetsi emphasized this during his presentation on behalf of 50 TVET colleges at a National Science, Technology and Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Forum of which Maluti TVET is a members on September 17,2024 in a Zoom in meeting.

“With regard to TVET colleges , we are 50 and my interest will on Section two of CEP act of 2006 as amended , it enables students to acquire the necessary knowledge, but critical is where it says students must acquire practical skills and applied vocational and occupational competency. These means apart from knowledge; the key component are practical skills and applied vocational skills.”
Tsotetsi also outlined the courses offered at Maluti TVET and how collaborations and partnerships functions.

“Colleges at the moment are at transformation and occupational programmes and these needs to be accredited with electricity owned companies in order to be able offer those programmes.They include theory , stimulation, workshops and kitchen and placement in the industry is require and thus makes partneships fundamental with the industry .
