QWAQWA – Moeketsi Lebese described Kopung Ralikontsane as a selfless public servant, as he joined the rest of Free Staters in wishing long serving director general well on his retirement.
“As I bid you farewell on your retirement, my heart is filled with gratitude and admiration for your remarkable journey. From your humble beginnings as a student and a teacher at Thahameso, where you were mentored by the late Principal Ntate Lefume Nthunya, to your rise as a distinguished Director General of the Free State, your dedication and perseverance have been an inspiration to all.”
Lebesa described retired Ralikontsane as a jack of all trades.
“Your impressive career spans multiple roles – teacher, councillor, Mayor of Harrismith, Head of Department, and Director General. Your nickname “Tiger” is testament to your passion and skill, both on and off the soccer field. After years of selfless service to the nation, you have earned the right to rest and enjoy the fruits of your labour.

In his message, Lebesa also quoted from the bible ‘There is a time to sow and a time to reap, a time to work and a time to rest.’
“Your time of rest is well-deserved, and I pray that it will be filled with joy, love, and cherished moments with your family, who have stood by you through thick and thin. As we celebrate your retirement, we honour not only your achievements but also the values you embody – hard work, integrity, and compassion. Your legacy will be remembered for generations to come, and your name will be etched in the history of this province in golden letters.
We will miss you, but we wish you all the best in this new chapter of your life. May God bless you with abundance, peace, and happiness,” Lebesa said.
