QWAQWA – A Good Samaritan- Phuthi Molaoa , a humble community leader has extended a helping hand to indigenous learners by donating school shoes to Mojatsohle Primary school in Mangaung village.
Molaoa is a humble community leader who doesn’t want to see the needy go unassisted, on November 8; he invited The Guard to witness his act of kindness as he delivered thirty one pairs of school shoes to the disadvantaged kids of Mojatsohle Primary school in Mangaung village. Twenty pairs of shoes for boys and eleven pairs for girls, Principal Tobatsi Moloi was very humbled by this act of kindness and said, “As a school we are very fortunate to have such an act of kindness extended to us, it is very rare that you’d find someone who will go out of their way to help others in the way that Molaoa has done, I am very grateful.”
Molaoa is a resident of Mabolela village and he already started donating school shoes in his own community.
Letotolo Primary school and QwaQwa Combined school are beneficiaries of his philanthropic act of giving earlier in the year.
He decided to extend his act of kindness after learning that a close family member’s child went to this disadvantaged school all the way in Magaung village, which is situated not too far from Charles Mopeli Stadium.
Constance Mahlatsi is the teacher who was assigned the responsibility to communicate with Molaoa and arrange with him how many kids are in desperate need of a new pair of school shoes.
“I was very excited to hear such good news, that a group of our needy learners are going to get a new pair of school shoes,’ Mahlatsi said.
“During this time of Covid-19 it is very hard to source funds for our special needs learners because most donors say that there have been budget cuts and their ability to donate to schools is limited,” Moloi said. What Molaoa has done for the learners of Mojatsohle Primary school is an act of kindness worth being applauded.
