QWAQWA – The ability to solve problems is a much needed skill in these uncertain times. Personal development workshops and seminars offer the training and coaching needed to develop this skill.
Fanafikile lephakha, 34, is a personal development coach who runs a company called Refining Potential training with a trademark program called Mind Refinery. For the past seven years Fana as he is affectionately called by most of his community, has been helping people from all walks of life to overcome their personal challenges through his personal development program Mind Refinery. According to Fana right now personal development is needed at an all-time high especially for individuals from historically disadvantage communities. The situation of Covid-19 has plunged a lot of people into a state of stress and helplessness. There are no jobs, people are facing financial difficulties and governments seem to be at a loss as to what to do. “Through Mind refinery I train and coach people to reach their full potential and overcome the mental blocks that are stopping them from progressing,” says Fana.
Personal development is about training and coaching individuals to be the problem solvers in their own lives. “People right now are feeling stuck they do not know what to do, personally I developed my skills through reading self-help books and then invested time and money into attending personal development seminars,” said Fana. Lehlohonolo Mabaso, 30, a very outspoken community leader in his home town QwaQwa says that he has been with Mind Refinery from its inception. “I have seen a number of people being helped by Fana’s program, myself included,” says Lehlohonolo.
Fana’s trademark for working with people is making sure that they have fun. On world naked hike day Fanafikile Lephakha led a group of black men on a hiking trail in the Drakensberg Mountain. Lehlohonolo was one of the men who joined Fana on this hike that made history, for a small group of black men from the rural community of QwaQwa. What Fana does is challenge people to break down the barriers in their own minds so that they are motivated and inspired to find solutions that will allow them to take the necessary actions to improve their lives.
