CUT STUDENTS TO REGISTER ONLINE

BLOEMFONTEIN-The Central University of Technology, Free State announced that both first year and senior students’ registration for the 2021 academic year will take place from 5 to 16 March.

The registration process is strictly for students who applied during the application process and are awaiting confirmation. First year students will be able to register from 5 to 10 March, while seniors will be helped from 11 to 16 March. Classes for first year students will commence on 15 March while seniors will begin on 17 March.

All faculties are expected to adhere to these registration dates. Covid-19 regulations will be strictly followed. According to Dan Maritz, CUT Spokesperson, the University is committed to strict health and safety protocols under the adjusted level3 alert of the lockdown. “We wish to ensure the safety and wellbeing of employees, students and users of campus facilities by minimising the infection rates and combating this virus”.

The main assessment for the 2020 academic year took place from 18 January to 4 February while reassessment took place from 15 to 19 February. Results will be published on 2 March. Upon announcement of the 2020 matric results, the University will issue SMSs electronic admission, letters and application status to all successful students who have applied for admission at CUT in 2021. “CUT will provide students with an online registration guide, which will include dates for different faculties and contact details for sections like student enrolment services, finance and faculties”, he said.

 The CUT student support centre will be available.

“?????? a step by step online video registration guide will be available to all” said Maritz. “However, should first year students require access to campus to do their registration, they may do so by producing their admission letters together with their IDs or passports. Current students may enter the campus by producing their student cards together with their IDs or passports”.
